The Faculty of Humanities at the USC admits students in M.A. degrees in various majors such as Private Law, MBA in Strategic Management, Psychology with family therapy approach and Social Studies. Cultural Studies, and in B.A. degree in Law, Accounting, Industrial Management, and Clinical Psychology. There are now 1226 students (857 female and 369 male) studying at this faculty (spring semester 2007).

EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES

The university central library offers reference books, Persian and English books in various fields such as statistics, law, accounting, psychology, and management which may be used by students and lecturers.

The faculty members may use three computer labs that are connected to internet which are equipped in three at threedifferent areas.

VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS IN THE FACULTY OF HUMANITIES


STATISTICS DEPARTMENT


The Statistics Department started admitting students in Statistics for a B.A. degree in fall semester 1998 through the general entrance exam of universities. There are now 194 students studying at this department (spring semester, 2007).

It takes 8 semesters (four years) to complete the major, and students are required to pass 133 credits.

The following chart shows the number of students studying in spring semester, 2007 based on the gender.

The graduate students in statistics are able to work in following fields:
analyzing statistical reports, data modeling, predicting data synchronic changes, implementing polls.

LAW DEPARTMENT


The Law Department started admitting students for a B.A. degree in Law in fall semester, 2000 through the general entrance exam of universities. There are now 335 students studying at this department (spring semester, 2007).

It takes 8 semesters (four years) to complete the major, and the students are required to pass 136 credits.

The graduate students in Law may work in the following fields:

Law consultation, lawyer's certificate, judging, notary office, and registration of marriages and divorces.

ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT


The Accounting Departing started admitting students for B.A. degree in accounting in spring semester 1997 through the general entrance exam of universities. There are now 303 students studying at this department (spring semester 2007).

It takes 8 semesters (four years) to complete the major, and the students are required to pass 135 credits to graduate.

The graduate students in Accounting may work in the following fields:
- overseeing financial issues in companies, state organizations, private sectors, auditing, taxation services, and the Judiciary Office auditors.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT


The Clinical Psychology Department started admitting students in B.A. degree for Clinical Psychology in fall semester 1998 through the general entrance exam of universities. There are now 214 students studying at this department (spring 2007).

It takes 8 semesters (four years) to complete the major, and students are required to pass 135 credits to graduate.

The graduate students in Clinical Psychology may work in the following fields:
- consultation in jobs, education, family, retarded children, health care centers, I.Q. tests, personality tests and the like, psychological hospitals, clinical psychology centers, educational instructors

INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT


The Industrial Management Department started admitting students in Industrial Management (B.A.) and in Insurance and Banking Issues (Associates of Arts) in fall semester 1999 through the general entrance exam of universities. However, the Industrial Management Department has stopped admitting students for the Associates program since 2003 according to the enactment issued by the board of trustees of the department. There were 303 students studying in Industrial Management B.A. in spring semester 2007.

It takes 8 semesters (four years) to complete the major, and the students are required to pass 135 credits to graduate.
